Today was a bit of a garden wash-out, so to avoid lightning and other mishaps, I made pickles. I used fresh dill and marketmore, lemon, and kirby cucumbers in a vinegar spice brine. It is a lacto-fermentation recipe, meaning I did not can them immediately or heat them. Instead they are fermenting in a 3-gallon lobster pot in my basement for the next few weeks.
